According to Foot Mercato, AS Monaco has made an offer for Brazilian midfielder João Paulo Bitello (23) who currently plays for Brazilian Serie A side Grêmio. The current teammate of former Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has confirmed the existence of the offer but revealed that he has yet to discuss it with his coach. While Bitello expressed his satisfaction with his current club, the rumored interest from Monaco has sparked speculation about his future.

“It seems that an offer has arrived, apparently from Monaco, but I haven’t spoken to my coach about it yet,” said the 23-year old, “I have a contract here. I am happy and focused on Grêmio. The upcoming championship is thrilling.”

Grêmio, however, are reportedly determined to hold onto their midfielder. Reports from Brazilian media suggest that the Porto Alegre club would demand a €10 million transfer fee before considering parting ways with Bitello. This strong stance indicates that negotiations, if pursued, would likely take place during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Bitello has made a total of 80 appearances for Grêmio across the top two divisions of Brazilian football. During this time, he has scored 16 goals and provided seven assists.
