Robin Gosens is encouraging his fellow Germany international Thomas Muller to join him at Fiorentina. ‘It would certainly be an interesting adventure for him.’
Muller is going to be a free agent in the summer after Bayern Munich confirmed he would not be offered a new contract when the current deal expires on June 30.
Although he will celebrate his 36th birthday in September, the striker is still going strong with six goals and six assists in 42 competitive games for Bayern Munich this season.
He was above all impressive in the Champions League, finding the net three times with one assist.
Fiorentina have already been linked with a possible swoop for the German, who right now does not seem to be interested in the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Current Viola star Gosens is trying to change his mind with comments to German television RTL.
“I think the passionate Italian football fans would welcome a player like Thomas Muller with enthusiasm,” said the winger.
“Tuscany is a marvellous region, with good food, lots of sun and a welcoming atmosphere. It would certainly be an interesting adventure for him to come here.”

Gosens knows the draw of Italy very well, having first come to the country for Atalanta in 2017, then playing for Inter too.
He returned to Germany with Union Berlin in the 2023-24 season, but rushed back to Fiorentina just 12 months later.
