Girona star’s move to Napoli has been ‘unblocked’ | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Girona is now all set to take his talents to Italy, to link up with Serie A champions Napoli.

The player in question? Miguel Gutiérrez.

Links between Gutiérrez and Napoli have of course long been rampant in the media.

This comes after the former Real Madrid man was earmarked as the ideal summer addition on the part of Partenopei boss Antonio Conte.

Negotiations, in turn, were kicked into gear between the parties several weeks ago.

After it was previously suggested that an agreement had been tied up, recent days saw the deal all of a sudden thrown into doubt, following a sudden hiccup in discussions.

As alluded to above, however, on Sunday, the transfer has been placed firmly back on track.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Miguel Gutiérrez’s transfer to Napoli is now a reality. After several days of uncertainty and a process that had been put on hold, the deal has been unblocked, and the Madrid full-back is only awaiting final authorization to travel to Italy this Monday.’
