Image de l'article :Gino Pozzo in the process of selling Udinese

As per the latest reports from Sky Sports, Italian businessman Gino Pozzo is in the process of selling Serie A club Udinese. Pozzo also owns Watford FC who are currently in the second division in England and Granada who are in the second division in Spain. The Pozzo family has been in charge of Udinese since 1986 when the club was embroiled in a betting scandal. It is being reported that the new buyers are an American group. The price being quoted is around €150m. Italian media tried to contact Udinese but their representatives didn’t comment on the same. This is a big change for Udinese given that they have had the same owners for the last four decades. It remains to be seen who these American owners are and what they will do at the club. It is being said that Pozzo is taking this step to focus on his other clubs like Watford which is surprising given that Udinese is perhaps his best performing club. They finished 12th in the Serie A and it will be an interesting summer for them. Kaulik Mitra | GIFN
