Napoli are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. Fresh off securing Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City, the Italian side are aiming to make another statement by attempting to lure Sancho to Serie A.

Sancho has returned to Manchester United following a loan spell and an uncertain period in his Old Trafford career. He featured in 31 Premier League matches last season, registering 3 goals and 5 assists. He also impressed in Europe, contributing 2 goals and 5 assists in 8 Conference League appearances as United lifted the trophy.
The report states, “Napoli are making an attempt to sign Sancho,” signalling the club’s intent to add high-profile reinforcements as they reshape their squad for the new season.
For Manchester United fans, this latest development may come as both a surprise and a potential relief. Sancho’s time at Old Trafford has been riddled with inconsistency, off-pitch tension, and tactical disconnects. While he has shown flashes of the player once heralded as one of Europe’s brightest young talents, those moments have rarely been sustained.
Napoli’s interest feels like an opportunity for all parties. For Sancho, it is a chance to reset his career in a more technical and tactical environment. For United, it could mark the beginning of a broader reshuffle under Ruben Amorim, especially if Napoli are willing to commit financially to a permanent deal.

Fans will naturally question whether United would be letting go too soon, especially after his productive run in European competition. But the reality is that Sancho’s value and confidence may be best salvaged elsewhere. A move to a team with Champions League ambitions and a clearer identity could be exactly what he needs — and, in return, it may free up funds for United to strengthen more urgent areas of the pitch.
