Manchester United manager Marc Skinner has insisted the club have offered "fantastic support" to forward Geyse following accusations of mistreatment.
The Brazilian forward was out of action in the opening stages of 2025 following the saddening news of her brother's passing. Reports have since suggested United attempted to send the player out on loan while she was on compassionate leave.
Further reports from The Guardian have now linked Geyse with a potential move to National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) side NJ/NY Gotham FC.
Ahead of United's Adobe Women's FA Cup meeting with Sunderland, head coach Skinner addressed the growing rumours of Geyse's imminent departure from the club.
"I stress that the club has offered a fantastic amount of support and will continue to do so. She's at the centre of that from a wellbeing perspective," the head coach professed.
"I am open to conversation any time. If players feel like that, then all I can say is, there is always opportunity. The beauties of social media also has its downfalls because you can play out your emotions and thoughts and processes there as well. I have worked with a lot of players over my time, and I think the majority will have lots of good things to express.
"I am not here to justify myself. I have really good relationships with my players. The door is always open and I will reiterate this on camera now, my door is always open if people want to have a conversation and it’s theirs to choose if they wish to use that or not."
"We will find a solution that will suit both parties and we’ll make sure during that time that Geyse is absolutely looked after and has all the care that she needs," Skinner added when asked about the forward's potential links to Gotham.

Emerging reports from The Athletic have now revealed comments made by a source close to the club.
"Geyse has had the most support out of any player at the club," the source told. "She has had a translator during her whole time at United. We’ve worked with psychologists and wellbeing teams and had wellbeing meetings. She’s had one-to-one support and a whole team around her. The players have been really supportive and have tried to include her.
“She has found it really difficult being in Manchester, being far away from her family, the weather. The language barrier is really difficult for her but support has been put in place for her to learn English."
The initial reports included comments from the player's agent, expressing concerns that "the club and the coach don't count on her."
When asked to address the agent's words, Skinner affirmed: "I won't be using this platform to have a conversation about that.
"It’s really clear that right now Geyse is at the centre of what we’re talking about. Through action, we’ll show that we will continue to support Geyse during an absolutely difficult time. The support that has been is absolutely there for everybody to see."
