Rúben Amorim’s decision to leave Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of Manchester United’s squad for Sunday’s derby has sparked speculation about Rashford’s future at the club.
Despite missing the two players, United secured a dramatic 2-1 win over Manchester City in the latest Manchester Derby.
The Red Devils came from behind at the Etihad Stadium after Josko Gvardiol’s first-half header put City ahead. Bruno Fernandes equalized with a penalty in the 88th minute, and Amad Diallo scored the winner in the 90th, rounding Éderson to seal the victory.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville praised Amorim for making tough decisions as he works to get the Red Devils back on track.
“I don’t know about their long-term future but what’s really clear is he’s mentioned engaging with team-mates,” Neville said (h/t The Mirror). “He’s mentioned standards. So, he’s given us clues as to what’s happened over the last few days that they’ve been moping. Not doing their bit around the training ground, engaging with their teammates properly, standards in training.
“And he’s gone ‘no, I’m not having it, I’m not accepting it.’ And good on him because for far too long we’ve seen players mope around that pitch and still continue to get a game. ‘Oh he’s on the bench’ No. It’s got to be non-negotiable. If you don’t give your all in your job, you’re gone.”
TEAMtalk reported on Sunday that Manchester United have decided to sell Rashford during the January transfer window. The report adds that PSG are admirers of the England international, and with United now open to letting him go, other potential suitors could also enter the mix.
Meanwhile, Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail suggests Manchester United might be open to offers in the region of £40 million for the forward.
