Galatasaray are preparing a shock move for Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch this summer, despite the fact that the Dutchman only joined the Reds last summer.

The 21-year-old joined Liverpool for £34m from Bayern Munich at the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign, but has found life difficult at Anfield despite a bright start.

The former Ajax midfielder has shown glimpses of his quality but has not offered Jurgen Klopp's side enough either from the start or bench this term.

Gravenberch has been an unused substitute in Liverpool's last four matches, with Klopp clearly not trusting the summer recruit to influence the game from the bench.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are aiming to prey on his lack of progress in the upcoming transfer window and they could make an ambitious swoop for the Dutch international.

RYAN GRAVENBERCH ON THE MOVE ALREADY?

According to Turkish publication Fotomac, Gravenberch has been on Galatasaray's radar for some time and they are preparing a shock move for the youngster.

Galatasaray reportedly tried to sign Gravenberch last summer, offering to take him on loan from Bayern for the season with a £22m buy option included in the deal.

That was understandably rejected, but the Turkish side are ready to make contact with Gravenberch's representatives yet again this summer.

They will reportedly 'push all the conditions' to make a deal happen, even if Liverpool are likely to be extremely resistant to a sale.

While things haven't worked out for Gravenberch so far on Merseyside, it is incredibly unlikely that he would leave Anfield this summer. The only possibility would be a loan move, although that depends on who replaces Klopp in the dugout.

Liverpool are not going to cut their losses on a player with huge potential that they signed for £34m last summer, with Gravenberch deserving more time to turn his career around at Anfield.
