Galatasaray ‘confident’ on Leroy Sane transfer | OneFootball

Galatasaray are confident the club will win the race to sign Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich this summer.

The Turkish Süper Lig champions have submitted a contract proposal to the Germany winger, whose deal at Bayern expires this month.

Bayern are keen to keep Sane but have failed to match the 29-year-old’s demands, with the Bundesliga winners refusing to increase their offer to the player.

Galatasaray are now hoping to take advantage with a lucrative contract proposal. Fabrizio Romano is reporting that there is increasing confidence from Istanbul that a deal can be done.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have each been linked with signing Sane, but Galatasaray are pushing to close a deal. Sane scored 11 goals in just 17 starts in the Bundesliga last season as Bayern reclaimed the German title. He has won four Bundesliga titles with the club since arriving from Manchester City in 2020.

Okan Buruk’s Galatasaray side are seeking to strengthen ahead of a return to the Champions League in 2025/26. Galatasaray also retain hope of signing Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal.

Osimhen spent last season on loan with the club and scored 37 goals in 41 games, a record for an overseas player in a Turkish season.

The Nigerian has rejected a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal and wants to remain in Europe. However, his €75m release clause at Napoli looks prohibitive to Galatasaray. The current transfer record in the Turkish Süper Lig is just €19.5m.
