Fulham are considering a move for Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Sterling joined Chelsea in 2022 but failed to live up to expectations in his first two seasons.
He spent last season on loan at Arsenal, where he scored just one goal in 28 matches across all competitions.
Arsenal opted against a permanent deal, and Sterling has since returned to Chelsea. He is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge under manager Enzo Maresca.
Chelsea are actively looking to move Sterling on, with Serie A outfit Napoli among the clubs he has been offered to.
The Blues want £20 million to sanction Sterling’s sale, and he will need to reduce his wages for a move to Fulham to materialise.
A switch to Craven Cottage would offer him a valuable opportunity to regain regular playing time in England’s top flight.
This would potentially boost his chances of returning to the England national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup, although it is unclear whether Sterling will be keen to join Marco Silva’s side.
Sterling is not the only Chelsea player currently of interest to Fulham. They have also been linked with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Fulham have parted ways with Willian, and Sterling would bring some much-needed experience in attack.
They face an uphill task in their pursuit of Sterling, who is keen to prove he still has a lot to give at the top level.
