Real Madrid square off against Valencia on matchday 30 of La Liga today at 16:15 CET. After a couple of laborious and end-to-end outings against Leganes and Real Sociedad in the last week, the Whites will look to add three more points on the board as their title race with Barcelona continues into another matchday.
Apart from Dani Carvajal, Dani Ceballos, Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy, who have been absent from the last few games, the hosts are also going to be Thibaut Courtois whereas Andriy Lunin could either play with an injury or remain on the bench, depending on Carlo Ancelotti’s team selection.
That said, here is a look at the potential Real Madrid eleven for the game.
Goalkeeper – Fran Gonzalez
Fran Gonzalez could make his maiden first team appearance for the team against Valencia.
Right Back – Lucas Vazquez
Vazquez is expected to continue as the right back in spite of putting in a number of underwhelming displays this season.
Centre Back – Raul Asencio
Asencio is set to retain his place in the back four with the youngster hardly putting a foot wrong.
Centre Back – Antonio Rudiger
Rudiger scored off the bench on Tuesday to secure a Copa del Rey final berth for Real Madrid but is likely to return to the playing eleven today.
Left Back – Fran Garcia
Fran Garcia might also come back into the line-up after Eduardo Camavinga played at left back last time out.
Defensive Midfielder – Aurelien Tchouameni
Tchouameni will miss the Arsenal game through suspension, so he will not be rested against Valencia.
Right Midfielder – Federico Valverde
Valverde is expected to start in midfield having come off the bench against Real Sociedad.
Left Midfielder – Jude Bellingham
Bellingham scored and assisted in the reverse fixture against Valencia and will look to make his mark once again from midfield.
Right Winger – Rodrygo Goes
Rodrygo scored twice the last time Valencia visited the Bernabeu and will look to get back into the goals this time around.
Striker – Kylian Mbappe
With four goals in his last two league games, all eyes will be on Kylian Mbappe to extend his tally as he leads the line.
Left Winger – Vinicius Junior
Like Rodrygo, Vinicius also scored a brace in the last game versus Valencia at home and he also will look to find his shooting boots from the left flank ahead of the Arsenal clash.
