Saturday’s 1-0 at Ipswich made it four wins in a row, putting Brentford eighth in the table before closing encounters against Fulham and Wolves.
Unfortunately, neither Yoane Wissa (£6.8m) nor Bryan Mbeumo (£8.3m) were able to repeat their Gameweek 9 hauls versus the Tractor Boys. However, Wissa had five shots - four from inside the box and was unlucky not to hit the back of the net.
Mbeumo also missed four himself but did register an assist for the one million managers who handed him the captain’s armbands.
The real winners were the 208,505 managers who transferred in Kevin Schade (£5.2m) for his 11-point haul. The German international now has four goals in his last three outings.
Mark Flekken (£4.5m) registered a nine-point haul and made a particularly good save from Cameron Burgess (£3.8m) to keep Ipswich out.
Meanwhile, the Bees clean sheet led to a couple of Collins bonus points. It's the fourth time he’s scored at least six points over these latest half-dozen matches, helping him break into the top 10 for defenders.
What’s underrated amongst FPL managers is his attacking threat. Just 4.4 per cent of squads include the 24-year-old, despite ranking as the league’s third-best defender for big chances (six) and seventh when it comes to penalty area touches (70).
In fact, only Antonee Robinson (£4.7m) has more assists at the back. Two of Collins’ nine attacking returns came in the previous meeting with final-day opponents Wolves, where 10 points were bagged.
Across all positions, he’s won the second-most aerial duels (116) and is showcasing his good anticipation by blocking the highest number of shots (52).
In a weekend where highly owned stars Mohamed Salah (£13.7m), Bukayo Saka (£10.3m), Kevin De Bruyne (£9.6m), Cole Palmer (£10.5m) and Alexander Isak (£9.5m) all blanked, while Omar Marmoush (£7.5m) was benched, a lot of Gameweek 36’s FPL joy came from Crystal Palace’s 2-0 win at Tottenham.
A brace from Eberechi Eze (£6.9m) took him to 16 points, and 58.32 per cent of the top 100k had team-mate Daniel Munoz (£5.2m). The Colombian set up Eze, though an earlier assist was disallowed for offside. Oh well, just the 11 points for him!
Elsewhere, a similar performance put West Ham wing-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.4m) on a tally of 12, with a goal and assist helping Morgan Gibbs-White (£6.4m) to 13.
Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) is being purchased the most because Aston Villa’s final two matches are against the distracted Europa League finalists, Spurs and Manchester United. By contrast, the Villains remain competitive, needing to beat both to have a chance of Champions League qualification.
He netted the winner at Bournemouth and should keep starting during Marcus Rashford’s (£6.6m) absence.
Eze and Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) are popular buys, while consecutive goals give Beto (£4.8m) momentum ahead of Everton’s final Goodison Park match.
At first glance, there’s no obvious candidate for Gameweek 37 armbands. Salah is slightly off-form, Isak must travel to Arsenal, and it’s hard to predict Manchester City’s lineup when their post-Wembley match is four days after the FPL deadline.
Captaining a Chelsea or Aston Villa attacker on that Friday night, against Man Utd or Spurs, makes sense. Someone like Watkins or Palmer.
Alternatively, there’ll be Sunday home games for Mbeumo and Bowen, a pair of Fantasy midfielders who consistently prove their reliability.
