Saturday was the final day of the 2024 MLS season as a whole. After a 34-game regular schedule, a pair of Wild Card playoff games and 18 teams in the postseason, only one team walked away with the title of 'champions.'

It started back in late February and took more nearly ten months to find the top soccer team in the league. The Western Conference's second seed proved they are second best to no one.

History has been made on a number of occasions along the way. Here are four of the outstanding moments that continue to put the Los Angeles Galaxy in the record books.

1. First team to ever have four players with 10+ goals in a season.

In 1998, the Los Angeles Galaxy made history. There was no shortage of scoring that year. Cobi Jones, Welton and Mauricio Cienfuegos became the first set of teammates to score ten goals or more in a season.

The trio combined for 49 scores as Jones had 19, Welton had 17 and Cienfuegos had 13. This record was broken late in the season this year.

On September 21, forward Joseph Paintsil score his tenth goal when the Los Angeles Galaxy won 4-2 against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Teammates Dejan Joveljic, Riqui Puig and Gabriel Pec already had ten goals or more at that point.
