Nottingham Forest are working on new contracts for Ola Aina and Neco Williams, according to the Telegraph.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo is eager to keep his squad together ahead of their return to European football next season.
Talks are ongoing with both players, and the club is confident that agreements will be reached soon.
Forest are also closing in on a £30 million double signing of Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha from Botafogo.
This demonstrates their clear intention to build a strong squad before the new campaign commences.
Aina and Williams have just one year left on their current deals at the City Ground.
However, discussions with their representatives are progressing well, and a full agreement is expected shortly.
Aina arrived on a free transfer and has been a brilliant piece of business by the club.
He initially signed a short-term contract but has now exercised an option to stay for an additional year. However, Forest want to tie him down to a longer deal.
Williams joined Forest from Liverpool for around £17 million after they secured promotion to the Premier League.
He was one of Forest’s best performers last season, producing consistent displays. Williams made key contributions in attack, bagging two goals and an assist during the campaign.
Forest view the new deals as part of a wider plan to build on last season’s success and push for even greater success.
Keeping two of their standout players will be a big boost as they aim to compete on all fronts.
