Paulo Fonseca has explained which aspects of Timothy Weah’s game Milan need to be wary of when the Rossoneri host Juventus in Serie A on Sunday evening, as the USMNT star is the likely candidate to replace Dusan Vlahovic up front for the Bianconeri.
Fonseca is already well acquainted with the Juventus forward as they spent the 2022-23 season together in Ligue 1 with Lille.
Weah is expected to lead the line for Juventus in the absence of Vlahovic, who picked up a minor knock while away on international duty with Serbia during the break.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Fonseca pointed to two aspects of Weah’s game: One which could cause Milan problems, the other less so.
He also suggested that Juventus will not have any issues without their leading goalscorer on Sunday evening, as Thiago Motta is well equipped to shuffle his personnel around.
“Juve know how to adapt well to the players they have available. I don’t know if Weah will play, but I do know him well because he worked with me, not as a striker, but they will have different intentions to when Vlahovic is with them,” Fonseca said.
“Weah is very fast and in-depth, it will be a different game and we might need to pay extra attention to Timothy’s movements, less so with the work with his back to goal.”
