Hansi Flick’s first season at Barcelona keeps getting better. With a thrilling 4-3 win over Real Madrid at home, he has now guided the team to four straight wins in El Clasico this season.
More importantly, the victory puts Barcelona just two points away from securing the La Liga title.
In those four Clasico matches, Barça have scored 16 goals — an average of four per game. It is a strong sign of the team’s attacking power under Flick. After the match, the German manager remained calm and grounded despite the celebrations.
“I still don’t feel like a champion,” Flick admitted. “We’re in a good place, yes. But we still need three points, and everyone wants to beat us. If we stay focused, we’ll get there.”

One of the standout performers on the night was Ferran Torres. He started as the central striker instead of Robert Lewandowski, who was coming back from injury. Ferran did not score, but he made a huge impact by setting up three goals. Flick was full of praise for him:
“He did very well. Playing as a number nine suits him, and he gave us three great assists.
“He’s done very well. Robert Lewandowski was returning from injury, so it’s great that Ferran is at this level.”

There were also updates on two young talents. Pau Cubarsi had to be taken off, but it was nothing serious. “He had a stomach issue,” said Flick. “But he told us he could go for another ten or fifteen minutes if needed.”
Lamine Yamal also had another big game. At just 17, he continues to impress everyone with his maturity and skill. Flick added,
He’s doing very well and believes in what he’s doing. He’s very smart. For me, the best thing is that after Tuesday, everyone was focused on today’s game. He helped us come back, and at 17 years old, he had a great game today.”
With just one more win needed, Flick and Barcelona are on the verge of a special season.
