Our Red Bulls' 4-1 away win in Bergen a week ago left the doors wide open to the third round of UEFA Champions League qualifying, but we still have 90 minutes of football ahead of us in which we want to perform the best we possibly can. We have home advantage in our favour this time against SK Brann as we face them in the second leg of the second qualifying round – with kick-off on Wednesday 30 July at 20:45 CEST!
The team coached by Freyr Alexandersson have not had any football to worry about since the first clash, with their Norwegian Eliteserien tie at the weekend postponed to allow Bergen to concentrate fully on their European campaign. We were in action in the first cup round on Saturday at Union Dietach, taking a superb 4-0 win against the side recently promoted to the regional league.
In the first leg in Norway, we suffered a tough start against the determined hosts and were behind for much of the match until our boys stepped up to turn the encounter on its head in the second half. A dream move between Gloukh and Nene pulled us back level before three substitutes chipped in with goals - from Yorbe Vertessen, Karim Onisiwo and Maurits Kjaergaard - to ensure we are in an ideal position ahead of Wednesday's second leg.
We therefore can deservedly go optimistically and with a real sense of anticipation into the evening clash when we battle for a spot in the third qualifying round – where we would face Club Brugge of Belgium.
Our boys are counting on your support. All the info on coming to the stadium can be found in our latest matchday info. If you haven't yet secured your seat, you can do that in our online ticket shop!
The best way to follow all our home matches is with a season ticket, of course. Please note there is an important change in how you use these to access the stadium this season.
With the second qualifying round not being part of UEFA's central rights' marketing, the TV options are a bit different to usual. Our match against SK Brann can be seen for free in Austria on ServusTV and ServusTV On. Fans outside of Austria can watch it on a free RBS TV live stream (except in Norway, where VG+ are broadcasting) here on our website, App and on our YouTube channel with English commentary.
We will also have live text updates for you.
The good performance in the first leg puts us in a superb position to take into the clash in Salzburg. We know though that we are only halfway through the tie – no more and no less than that! That means we have to remain cool on Wednesday and concentrate on what we are good at. We definitely want to win the match.

We put in a strong performance in the first match and got into a very good position in the tie with a 4-1 win. Now we need to press on to make sure it doesn't get too close for comfort. The performance in the first leg makes me positive though. We know just what is at stake.
