The ongoing preseason tour to Asia is seen as a very important one for FC Barcelona. From both a sporting and financial perspective, it is expected to help the club. Fortunately, Barcelona seems to be taking advantage of it as well as they can.
Even leading up to this tour, there was a lot of speculation and competition within the squad as players looked to earn a place. After all, being on this tour would mean more opportunities under Hansi Flick and that can go a long way in terms of consolidating someone’s place in the Barcelona first team.
Ultimately, Flick chose his final squad and departed for Japan with his players. With just two games left in this tour, and with both of them being situated in South Korea, it would certainly be a boost for fans of the club to have such kind of access to the highly-anticipated upcoming clashes.
Beyond that, the club even issued an apology for the inconvenience that fans had to go through to watch the game. Now, however, the club hopes that no such issue will come up again and that complaints from fans will hopefully become less frequent as well when it comes to the games against FC Seoul and Daegu FC.
Afterwards, the players and coaching staff are expected to return to Spain. A game against Como for the Joan Gamper Trophy is already set, and a certain young player might just be ready by then to .
