Ibrahim Diarra suffered a muscle injury during a training session at the Ciutat Esportiva. The Catalan club has confirmed that the young Malian winger will not be part of FC Barcelona's Asian tour scheduled for this summer.

It's a tough blow for the Malian starlet, who had just broken into FC Barcelona's senior squad for preseason! Having arrived in Catalonia last November, Ibrahim Diarra was actively participating in training sessions under Hansi Flick. The injury occurred during one of these sessions. The diagnosis was confirmed after a medical examination conducted by the club's medical staff.

"Barça Atlètic's Malian player Ibrahim Diarra has suffered a tear of the rectus femoris muscle in his right leg. He will not travel to Japan and South Korea with the first team. His return to first-team activities will depend on the progress of his recovery," announced FC Barcelona.
