We put together a list of the 22 players who could potentially be selected for this game from the first team squad.

Eddie Howe and his squad coming off the back of that defeat to West Ham on Monday.

Especially disappointing as before that, Newcastle had won three in a row against Chelsea, Arsenal and Forest.

Long-term injured Lascelles, Krafth and Botman will all be missing.

Whilst at his press conference on Friday, Eddie Howe said that thankfully the injuries/knocks picked up by Willock and Bruno against West Ham aren’t serious. With the Head Coach saying he would make a decision after training on Friday as to whether they would be included in the matchday squad for today.

Dan Burn returns to the squad after a one game ban, whilst Eddie Howe indicated Lewis Miley was set to be missing, with the 18 year old instead set to get minutes on Friday night playing for the Under 21s against Crystal Palace, so we didn’t include him. As it happens, Matt Targett was also included in that Under 21s team last night but we had included him amongst the 22 options to choose from.
