The January transfer window could bring a few surprises, including the possibility of Samuel Chukwueze heading to Turkey.
According to Fanatik (via MilanNews), the agent of Chukwueze has been made aware of Milan’s willingness to let him leave next month and he has begun testing the ground regarding potential destinations.
The Nigerian winger was proposed through his entourage to Besiktas, the team where Ciro Immobile currently plays. The 25-year-old has a contract until June 2028 and cost over €20m to sign from Villarreal, yet it seems the Rossoneri are willing to give up on him.
All that remains is to understand Besiktas’ next move, as well as how the operation could take place. The two clubs must first find an agreement regarding the formula, while the player in question would have to approve of a transfer to Turkey.
At the moment, Besiktas’ presidential elections are underway which could delay things when it comes to their January plans, but new names continue to emerge that they consider to be potential targets.
Chukwueze was also linked in the past few weeks with a move to another Turkish club, namely Trabzonspor. It is possible that teams from other leagues will express an interest too, like Aston Villa.
