Torino are still pushing for Eljif Elmas, but with RB Leipzig not open to another loan, Napoli could go for a remarkable reunion with the fan favourite.

He spent the last six months of the season on loan at Torino, where he contributed four goals in 13 Serie A appearances.

The Granata have been trying for weeks to get him back in the squad, but while the player is eager, RB Leipzig are not open to allowing another loan experience.

They believe other clubs will come in with proposals and terms that are more suited to their requirements.

The big surprise is the emergence of Napoli, who are thinking about Elmas due to his versatility, providing goals and assists from midfield.

He would require little encouragement, seeing as he remains a fan favourite from his time at the club from 2019 to January 2024.

That was when he made the €24m transfer to RB Leipzig.

He had already been approached in January, but there were no available spots in the squad, so he joined Torino instead.
