Well, this next major breaking transfer rumour in the wonderful world of Chelsea this afternoon will certainly unite the fan base in terms of them all wanting it to happen at least.

However, it has a feel of being over before it even builds up right now to be honest, I think it’s probably near impossible, but perhaps not fully impossible?

EXCLUSIVE! Premier League striker WANTS Chelsea move!

I am speaking about the news that has come out via an exclusive report from The Daily Mail this afternoon that has got Chelsea fans on their knees begging for it to happen!

They claim that conversations have taken place between Chelsea and Newcastle over Alexander Isak! The Blues have indicated a want to sign the Sweden international.

Chelsea know that any deal would take a club-record fee beyond the £115m they paid for Moises Caicedo.

I guess this transfer window has just come alive for Blues fans!

Does it have any chance of happening though?

Surely Chelsea have little chance of landing Isak?

Probably hugely slim chances. I don’t know why Newcastle would even contemplate selling their star player, their world class striker. But maybe money talks? Toon fans would certainly be very annoyed if they sold Isak, and Chelsea fans would be over the moon!

Would Chelsea even contemplate signing another player for more money than they paid to sign Moises Caicedo though? That’s another question. I’m sure they do have players that Newcastle would like to sign too though, and perhaps a deal could be done that would suit both sides with Chelsea sending some players in their direction.

It’s obviously all just very speculative right now and I’d suspect that we might soon see stories that shuts this rumour down with Toon putting out that Isak is not for sale through their own briefings to the media. Time will tell to see how this one proceeds, if at all.
