Yann Sommer and Federico Dimarco have been lauded as Inter Milan’s two top performers against Udinese yesterday.
Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, laud the duo in the player ratings for the match.
Inter Milan took three big points in the Serie A title race yesterday against Udinese.
There were quite a few standout performers for the Nerazzurri upon their return to action from the international break.
However, there were a couple who really embodied the team’s performance.

In the first half, Inter Milan were absolutely dominant. The Nerazzurri created multiple good chances, while conceding very little at the other end.
And the player whose performance best summed up that of Inter as a whole was Federico Dimarco, argues the Gazzetta.
The Italian international bagged two assists, with two pull-backs for teammates.
Dimarco’s timing and precision were at the heart of Inter’s most dangerous team attacks as they blew Udinese away before halftime.
However, the second half was a very different story.
The Nerazzurri dropped off, while Udinese played with a renewed confidence. Then, a stunning goal from Friulani defender Oumar Solet really put Inter on the back foot.
That required two stunning saves from Inter keep Yann Sommer.
The former Bayern Munich veteran could do little about Solet’s long-range rocket.
But Sommer was in flying form with a spectacular dive to keep out a header by Lorenzo Lucca a few minutes later.
Then, the 36-year-old denied Solet a brace in stoppage time, this time from a set piece.
The Frenchman seemed to be in the right place at the right time to turn the ball in from a corner.
However, Sommer showed incredible reflexes to get down and claw the ball out.
Having been a virtual spectator in the first half, Sommer preserved Inter’s three points in the second.
