Premier League club Everton appear determined to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, with reports from Italy claiming that the Toffees have offered €30 million for the Brazilian.

However, the Bianconeri are demanding a total package worth €40 million, as they attempt to recoup more of the €50 million spent on signing the midfielder from Aston Villa last summer.

According to what has been reported by Mediaset journalist Gianni Balzarini, via TMW, Juventus could be prepared to accept an offer of €30 million plus €10 million in bonuses, if Everton are persistent enough.

Everton determined for Douglas Luiz amid other interest

Everton are not the only club interested in signing the Brazilian, with Premier League side West Ham United also being heavily touted as a destination for Luiz.

However, the Friedkin ownership team at Everton are reportedly confident that an agreement can be reached for the former Villa man.

Everton’s advantage may stem from their willingness to purchase the player permanently with money up-front, after West Ham attempted to strike a deal for a €10 million loan with an option-to-buy the player – something the Bianconeri are not interested in.
