Everton are edging closer to securing a deal for Rangers forward Hamza Igamane in the January transfer window.
David Moyes said earlier this month that he is confident that the Toffees will sign a few players before the 3 February transfer deadline.
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is currently out injured. He was looking in good form since Moyes came in, but the striker will now spend time on the sidelines.
Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti are also currently out injured and are not close to returning to action any time soon.
Beto remains the only recognised striker for Everton, but he has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park in the current window.
According to Tuttosport, Everton are on the verge of signing Igamane who is seen as an ideal replacement for Calvert-Lewin.
Evan Ferguson, Marcus Edwards, Brian Brobbey and Taiwo Awoniyi are some of the other attackers linked with a move to Everton.
The report claims that the Friedkin Group are ready to provide David Moyes with a £33.5 million transfer warchest, and the Toffees boss will look to sign more than one forward.
Igamane is likely to be one of them, but there could be one more arrival.
The 22-year-old striker arrived at Ibrox in the summer window from FAR Rabat. He has been in great form recently after a slow start to his career at Glasgow, netting 13 goals in 27 appearances.
He was outstanding for Rangers during their 1-1 draw in the Europa League clash against Tottenham Hotspur, and he could be a smart signing for the Toffees.
Ideally, Rangers would want to keep the player with them. But they sell players at a high price to buy new players, and therefore could be tempted to do the same with Igamane if Everton come up with a tempting offer in the next few days.
