Ogunneye

The 19-year-old has found consistent game time for Newport County since joining in the summer.

He has started four consecutive games for his new team and was once again named in the starting line-up for Newport against Salford.

The United defender made four clearances during his 90 minutes on the pitch.

He also made a total of four tackles and won four ground duels during a busy evening in defence.

Ogunneye did only manage to win one of his four aerial duels in the physically imposing League Two match.

The academy product was quite accurate on the ball, completing 84% of his passes, just losing possession three times during the game.

He did also try and take on the Salford defence out wide but could not complete any of his four dribble attempts.

Ogunneye will next be in action when Newport welcome MK Dons to Rodney Parade this Saturday afternoon.

Wheatley

Ethan Wheatley is yet to open his account for Northampton Town and endured another disappointing match for his new side.

He played 76 minutes but could only complete three passes during the entirety of his time on the pitch.

Wheatley’s lack of involvement in the game was also highlighted by the fact he did not manage a shot on or off target in his side’s 0-1 defeat to Lincoln City.

The 19-year-old has really struggled with the physical aspect of senior football in League One so far, losing all six of his ground duels and both his aerial battles.

He will hope to have another chance to prove his worth against Exeter City on Saturday.

Irish youth international Jack Moorhouse failed to make it off the bench in Leyton Orient’s 1-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle.
