Enzo Maresca thought the way Chelsea showed togetherness against Everton was excellent and described the game as “different to the rest.”
The Blues missed the chance to momentarily go top of the league after they were held to a goalless draw at Goodison Park.
The result means Liverpool have extended their lead to four points, whilst third placed Arsenal have closed the gap on the Blues to two points.
Chelsea are usually so clinical in front of goal, but the Blues endured a rare off day as they failed to score in the league for the first time since the opening game of the season.
It could have been different for Maresca’s men, but Nicolas Jackson was guilty of missing two big opportunities he should have done better with.

Cole Palmer had a quiet game, but the Blues could have been going back to London empty handed had Robert Sanchez not made a brilliant save in the second half, whilst Tosin Adarabioyo prevented a certain goal with a superb block.
Maresca insisted after the game he was happier than after the win against Brentford, whilst he also pointed out why the match at Goodison was different to the rest this season.
“Today’s game, for sure, was different to the rest,” he told his post match press conference.
“The way we showed togetherness was excellent today.”
