Germany out to stop England claiming back-to-back Euro U21 titles

After 30 games, it all comes down to this as England and Germany go head-to-head in the Euro U21 Championship final tonight. The Young Lions are the defending champions having lifted the trophy two years ago in Georgia so they are aiming to go back-to-back.

Lee Carsley's side have, impressively, seen off Spain and the Netherlands in the knockout stages en route to the final at the Stadion Tehelne Pole to set up a repeat of the 2009 showpiece which did not go to plan for England. On that occasion, Germany ran out 4-0 winners and today's showdown is the third time they have reached the U21s final in the last four tournaments.

Unbeaten thus far, this young German team made light work of France in the semi-final, have already beaten England in the group phase and will be looking to tournament top scorer Nick Woltemade - with six goals - for inspiration.
