Manchester United are desperately trying to offload the remaining players from their exiled quintet after agreeing Marcus Rashford’s imminent move to Barcelona.
Indeed, the Red Devils are anticipating approaches for all of Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho before 2025/2026 gets underway, with the group also omitted from the side’s pre-season fixtures to allow them to explore their options.
Antony is one player who’s seen his valuation surge during the second half of the campaign, which came at just the right time for United to try and recuperate as high a fee as possible through his sale.

In January, the winger embarked on a half-season loan spell with Real Betis in hopes of reviving his stagnant career; he left Old Trafford without making a single Premier League start in 2024/2025.
Yet, revive it he did. Antony went on to look a player reborn when plying his trade with the La Liga outfit, instantly becoming a fan-favourite at the Villamarin Stadium and playing an integral role in Betis reaching the UEFA Conference League final whilst also sealing Europa League qualification via a sixth-placed finish.
The 25-year-old racked up nine goals and five assists in the 26 appearances he made, having cemented his place in Manuel Pellegrini’s starting XI from the off.
It’s been widely reported that Antony was keen to repay such faith by returning to Betis this summer – to the point he even snubbed an offer from Como.
However, the major obstacle stalling the prospective deal is that they could only realistically sanction his arrival on a loan basis, whereas United are adamant about getting him off the books for good.
Such a delay has therefore paved the way for other suitors to jump to the front of the queue – and one could offer him an alternative route back to Spain.
iSport claims Atletico Madrid are now ‘emerging as favourites’ to sign the Brazilian international, whom United would be willing to sell for a fee of around £30 million.
