Dyche SACKED! Everton announce departure of manager just HOURS before FA Cup clash | OneFootball

Sean Dyche has left his role as manager of Everton ahead of their FA Cup tie with Peterborough.

Everton are winless in five games and find themselves 16th in the Premier League at the time of Dyche’s departure.

The Toffees have struggled for goals this season, scoring just 15 in 19 games, more than only bottom club Southampton.

Former Everton player and now coach Leighton Baines and captain Seamus Coleman will take charge while the search for a replacement takes place.

In a statement, Everton said: “Everton Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as Senior Men’s First Team Manager with immediate effect.

“Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard and Billy Mercer have also left the Club.

“The process to appoint a new manager is under way and an update will be provided in due course.”

The club have recently been the subject of a takeover by the Friedkin Group.

Dyche’s contract was also due to expire at the end of this season.
