Real Madrid duo David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga could be ruled out of Saturday’s Copa del Rey final against Barcelona after suffering injuries during the 1-0 win against Getafe. (h/t Diario AS)

Alaba, who started as a centre-back, was replaced at halftime by Camavinga following discomfort in his left leg.

Camavinga sustained an adductor injury in the dying minutes and could be sidelined for an extended period.

Alaba’s injury woes continue as he recovered from a long lay-off earlier this year following an ACL injury. He also missed a couple of games in February due to an adductor issue.

Camavinga has also endured an injury-hit season, missing several games through various issues.

The Frenchman looked to be the first-choice left-back for the Cup final this weekend, but Carlo Ancelotti will now rely on Ferland Mendy, with Fran Garcia as the backup.

Alaba’s absence will deplete the options in the backline, though Antonio Rudiger will return to the starting XI to team up with Raul Asencio.

Midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni can drop into the central defence on a makeshift basis if required.

The midfield looks stacked with the likes of Jude Bellingham, Dani Ceballos, Luka Modric, Federico Valverde and Arda Guler.

Guler’s first half-strike made the difference as Los Blancos bagged three points against Getafe to maintain a four-point gap with La Liga leaders Barca.

Having crashed out of the Champions League, the Spanish giants will look to salvage by winning the Copa del Rey.

They also look to settle the score for their humiliating 5-2 defeat against the Catalan giants in the Spanish Super Cup final in January.
