Roma have moved quickly after dismissing Daniele De Rossi from his position as head coach on Wednesday morning, and have now agreed a deal with former Torino boss Ivan Juric to replace him, according to multiple outlets in Italy.
De Rossi was dismissed from his role as head coach after a winless start to the 2024-25 campaign.
According to reports from Sky Sport Italia and Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma and Juric have agreed a short-term deal until the end of the 2024-25 season.
There will be an option to extend if Roma end up qualifying for next year’s Champions League, as per Wednesday’s updates.
Juric has been available as a free agent following his departure from Torino at the end of the 2023-24 campaign. He had spent three years with the Granata, the longest stint in his coaching career to date.
The Croatian has been based in Italy since 2006, spending the last four years of his playing career with Genoa, before embarking on his coaching journey.
After stints in the lower leagues with Mantova and Crotone, he ended up back at Genoa and had three separate stints as head coach between 2016 and 2018.
He also had two seasons with Hellas Verona between 2019 and 2021, before moving on to Torino for the start of the 2021-22 season.
