MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continues with Defence Force FC meeting Juventus de Cayes in Group B on Thursday at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Defence Force FC, champions of the 2024–25 Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League, return to the Caribbean Cup for the second time in their history. They were eliminated in the group stage of the inaugural 2023 edition. The club also participated in past Caribbean club tournaments in 2001, 2011, and 2014.
Juventus de Cayes qualified by winning the second edition of the CNS D1 in Haiti, defeating ASC Capoise 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation.
Defence Force and Juventus des Cayes will meet for the first time in any international club competition. It will also mark the first-ever international club match for the Haitian side.

This will mark the first-ever international club competition match for Juventus des Cayes. The Haitian side qualified for their first Concacaf Caribbean Cup by winning the second edition of the CNS D1 in Haiti, defeating ASC Capoise 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time. Goals in regular time came from Gilot Mikerson and Abel. Midfield star Peterson Sëide was named Best Player of the Final.

The club also participated in past Caribbean club tournaments in 2001, 2011 (finishing third), and 2014. Their all-time top scorer in the Concacaf Caribbean Cup is Reon Moore with two goals.
Defence Force FC has faced Haitian clubs twice in official competitions, both times in the CFU Club Championship. The first was in the 2001 edition, when they defeated Roulado de la Gonave 5-1 in Matchday 2 of Group B on August 26, 2001, in Trinidad & Tobago. Goals were scored by Brent Hudson, Jason Scotland (2), and Sherman Phillips (2), while Frantz Badio scored for Roulado.
The second meeting came in the 2011 edition against Tempete FC in a 0-0 draw in the single-leg semifinal on May 25, 2011, in Providenciales (GUY). Defence Force advanced to the final after a 4-2 win in the penalty shootout.
