The New England Revolution are staying busy as their roster transforms from a Bruce Arena created one to a Caleb Porter created one. The club has splashed on a new centerback in Mamadou Fofana, acquiring him from Ligue 2 side Amiens SC. The 26 year old Mali international defender has almost 1,200 minutes played this season in the French 2nd division. In his career Fofana has 238 career games played between Amiens SC, FC Metz, Alanyspor, and Bandirmaspor along with 3 goal contributions. Fofana also has 44 caps for the Mali National Team with 1 goal to his name.

According to reports from Tom Bogert, the New England Revolution have also traded away; Mark-Anthony Kaye, Ian Harkes, and Dave Romney to the San Jose Earthquakes for around $500,000 in GAM and an International Roster spot. This very much seems like a salary dump in roster moves on New England’s part as they try to clear space for a new look roster in 2025. For San Jose, new Manager and Sporting Director Bruce Arena is very much known for getting “his guys”. He was the one that bright Kaye, Harkes, and Romney to New England and he now gets them again in San Jose. The move seems very much like a win-win for both front offices, managers, and players alike. I expect to see much more from both of these clubs this winter, but a decent start all around.
