Dani Olmo arrives Barcelona with Deco after agreement with RB Leipzig | OneFootball

Barcelona look as if they may be about to make their first signing of the transfer window, after an agreement was found between the Catalan side and RB Leipzig.

The Blaugrana have had an agreement on personal terms with Olmo for multiple weeks, with Olmo set to sign a six-year deal. On Monday night Barcelona Sporting Director Deco flew to Leipzig for discussions with the German side and Olmo’s agents, and he has returned to the Catalan capital with Olmo in toe.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal will cost Barcelona €55m plus €7m in variables, although MD are alone in maintaining the deal will in fact be €47m plus €15m in variables. Olmo is said to be very excited to join his old club, after prioritising a move.

With no news of fresh business agreements or a nw sponsorship deal, there is still uncertainty over whether Barcelona can register Olmo. The Spain international is a star signing for the Blaugrana after seemingly missing out on Nico Williams though, and will provide a much needed morale boost. Most imagine that he will operate off the left side of attack, which would leave one of Raphinha or Lamine Yamal on the bench, or he could play centrally instead of Ilkay Gundogan, Pedri and Fermin Lopez.
