Barcelona were granted special precautionary measure to register both Dani Olmo and Pau Victor for the second half of the season by the CSD earlier this month, seemingly putting to bed what was a serious war between the club and La Liga.
The league president Javier Tebas, however, has made it very clear that he is not in favour of the players being registered as he blames the Catalans for submitting the documents late.
While both players are indeed a part of Hansi Flick’s squad and available for selection, the saga of their registration is still far from put to bed.
As relayed by Mundo Deportivo, the CSD’s decision earlier this month accepted Barcelona’s appeal and enabled the players to be registered but the decision is not binding.
The council presented both La Liga and Barcelona with time to make their side of the story clear, and once that has been filed, a final and binding decision will be taken over the same.

Earlier today, the RFEF filed their objections against the registration of the Barça duo, with La Liga also now following suit and doing the same.
Now, the legal department of the government body must reach such a decision before April 7th and it remains to be seen if they continue to side with Barcelona or see La Liga’s side of the story to be backed by more truth.
Speaking openly earlier this month, Barcelona president Joan Laporta provided a clear and unfiltered breakdown of the entire Olmo and Victor saga and the scuffle with La Liga.
As part of the same, he made it very clear that the club had submitted all required documents well before the deadline on December 31st but that the league brought up some controversial regulations to deny registration at that point.
CSD’s final decision will have massive implications on Barcelona’s season going forward and Laporta and Co. will hope that it comes out in their favour.
