Crystal Palace have agreed a deal in principle with Villarreal for winger Yeremy Pino, with the transfer worth up to £26m, according the the BBC's Sami Mokbel.
The 22-year-old Spain international is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days and is believed to be open to the move.
Pino has a £69m release clause, but Villarreal have reportedly accepted Palace’s offer with less than two years remaining on his current contract.
The Eagles’ move follows the departure of Eberechi Eze, who joined Arsenal in a £60m deal last week.
Pino, who joined Villarreal’s academy in 2017 from Las Palmas, has become one of Spain’s brightest prospects. He scored four goals in 34 La Liga appearances last season, helping Villarreal secure Champions League qualification
Manager Oliver Glasner, speaking after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, said he was “very confident” new signings would arrive before Monday’s deadline.
Palace have so far added only goalkeeper Walter Benitez and defender Borna Sosa this summer and could also move for Man City centre-back Manuel Akanji.
