According to Africa Foot, the Premier League side have set their sights on the 21-year-old after playing a key role for the Potters this season.

Tchamadeu joined the Championship club in the 2023 summer transfer window, and played 15 times in his first campaign in the team.

But he took on a role of much greater importance over the last 12 months, becoming a key part of Mark Robins’ side, making 41 appearances in the second tier this year as Stoke finished 18th in the table.

Crystal Palace have reportedly turned their attention towards Tchamadeu this summer following his consistent performances for Stoke.

It has been claimed that the Potters have set a €5 (£4.2) million asking price for the 21-year-old ahead of the upcoming transfer market.

It is understood that the London outfit have not been put off that price tag, and could push forward with a move.

However, it’s believed that the Premier League club also faces competition from Italian outfit Osasuna.

It remains to be seen whether Tchamadeu has a preference for the next step in his career, with both pursuing teams able to offer top flight football next season.

The Cameroon international has a contract with the Potters until the summer of 2027, meaning there is no immediate rush for Stoke to cash in.

Junior Tchamadeu’s importance to Stoke

Tchamadeu cemented himself as a regular starter under Robins following his arrival as manager in January.

He has featured predominantly at right-back under the 55-year-old, having also played as a wing-back and a left-winger previously.

It remains to be seen whether he is ready to make the step up to the Premier League amid this interest from Oliver Glasner’s side.

The transfer window doesn’t officially open until 16 June, although it will temporarily open from 1 June to 10 June for the benefit of those competing in the Club World Cup.

Tchamadeu deal could be good for Stoke

Earning £4.2 million for Tchamadeu could be a good bit of business for Stoke if they receive an offer of that size.

The full-back has performed well this season, but he hasn’t been so sensational that his departure would really hurt the team.

Selling the 21-year-old for a tidy profit is an example of the kind of business that the club have struggled with in the recent past.
