FLW's Coventry City fan pundit has been discussing the future of Bobby Thomas after Blades lodged an £8m bid for the defender.

Sheffield United have submitted an £8 million bid for Coventry City defender Bobby Thomas.
According to journalist Pete O'Rourke, Ruben Selles and Co. have lodged a mammoth offer for the 24-year-old following the sale of Anel Ahmedhodzic to Feyenoord.
Coventry signed the centre-back from Burnley in the summer of 2023, and has been a regular performer at the CBS Arena ever since.
Frank Lampard’s side have already sold Luis Binks this summer, and fellow defender Milan van Ewijk has also been linked with a move away.
Football League World’s Coventry City fan pundit, Chris Deez, believes that Sheffield United’s offer for Thomas may be too large to turn down.
“We're in a really tough situation at the minute in terms of our centre-backs,” stated Chris.
“We sold Luis Binks for £2.5 million, which was a bit of a profit on what we paid for him.
“It seemed a strange decision, seeing as he hadn’t really been linked away. I don't think anybody was really asking for him to be sold, and him leaving left us with just two fit senior centre-backs, one young lad from the academy, and then Joel Latibeaudiere, who is currently out injured.
“We absolutely adore Bobby Thomas. He's fantastic. He's the rock of our defence. As much as I don't want him to go, as much as I think it'd be a massive blow, £8 million is one hell of a good price for him.
“If you asked me to price him before that Sheffield United bid came in, I would have said maybe £4 million, maximum £5 million. If we can sign Callum Doyle from Man City for around £10 million, absolutely. Sell Thomas. He nearly pays for Doyle.
“That'd be incredible. I don't know how much he improves Sheffield United's defence, as good a player as he is, as much as I like him, as much as I rate him, but that's silly money that we desperately need to reinvest. The combined fees from Binks and Thomas pay for someone like Doyle, possibly Charlie Hughes from Hull.
“We really need to step it up a bit and let the players who want to leave, like Milan van Ewijk and possibly Jack Rudoni. We need to let them go as soon as possible.
"We've only got just over two weeks left to spend money and bring in replacements. It's starting to get a little bit squeaky bum time for me.”
Sheffield United’s offer for Thomas is substantial, so it wouldn’t be any surprise to see Lampard take that money and reinvest it in his squad.
However, if Coventry decide that they want to keep hold of the defender, then the ball is firmly in their court.
The centre-back still has two years remaining on his deal at the CBS Arena, which means that the Sky Blues are under no pressure to sell.
With rumours swirling around Van Ewijk’s future and following Binks’ exit, selling Thomas would leave Coventry extremely short in defence.
