The break has brought at least one good thing to Paulo Fonseca and that is the return of Alvaro Morata, who is now looking ahead to facing his former club.

Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports this morning how – barring any surprises – the starting centre-forward spot will once again be held by Morata against Juve this weekend. The Spanish striker has recovered from the head injury he suffered in training.

In the 3-3 draw with Cagliari before the break, Francesco Camarda was entrusted with a place in the line-up before being replaced by Tammy Abraham, who scored off the bench.

The target for Morata is not only to do everything possible to help Milan win a crucial match and re-enter the Scudetto picture, but also score against Juve for the first time.

The 32-year-old has played five previous matches against the Bianconeri with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, but has not yet managed to score against them. It won’t be easy this time either, given that Juve have conceded just seven league goals this season.

Fonseca, well aware of the importance he has for Milan’s season and also for the team’s morale, cannot do without the experience and leadership of Morata.
