AC Milan are looking at players who could potentially be signed as a deputy to Theo Hernandez, and a report has claimed that Fabiano Parisi of Fiorentina has caught their eye.

This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that the Milan management are evaluating the purchase of a new left-back who can give Theo a rest from time to time, or simply replace him in the event of injury or suspension.

Milan currently have Filippo Terracciano in that role, and he is expected to start the next two league games because the Frenchman picked up a two-game ban following his conduct after the defeat against Fiorentina before the break.

There are also the two young talents Alex Jimenez and Davide Bartesaghi in the squad, but they do not seem to have fully convinced the Portuguese. For this reason, the name of Fabiano Parisi – currently at Fiorentina – is back in fashion after previous transfer links.

The former Empoli man would seem to be the ideal solution for the Rossoneri, both for tactical and economic reasons. Milan would have no difficulty paying the player’s salary and would go for a loan until summer 2025 with an option or obligation to buy.

At the same time, Parisi would be very useful for the squad list issue, which has created some problems for Milan during the summer regarding a lack of homegrown players. Parisi is not getting much playing time with La Viola, and would welcome the move with open arms.
