Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic’s goals allowed Milan to beat Bari in a Coppa Italia game on Sunday, but the Portuguese star was also subbed off due to a calf problem.
Milan secured a 2-0 win over Bari on Sunday to qualify for the Coppa Italia Round of 32, where they’ll meet Lecce in September.
Bari striker Gabriele Moncini had the first chance in the game at San Siro, but his effort from far away finished wide of the far post.
Youssouf Fofana replied a few minutes later, seeing his left-footed shot saved.

The Rossoneri took the lead a few minutes later when Rafael Leao scored with a towering header from a Fikayo Tomori cross. Shortly afterwards, however, Leao was subbed off due to a calf injury, which, according to Gazzetta, leaves him in doubt for next week’s Serie A game against Cremonese.
Pulisic had two chances to double the lead before the break, but first his shot from inside the box was deflected, and then he hit the crossbar from a tight angle.
Mike Maignan frustrated a long-range shot from Giuseppe Sibilli before the break, and Milan ultimately doubled their lead just two minutes into the second half with a delightful link-up between Santiago Gimenez and Pulisic, who found the net with his third attempt.
New signings Luka Modric and Ardon Jashari made their debuts coming off the bench at minute 65 and were welcomed by the roar of the over 65,000 fans present at San Siro.
