Three of the four quarter-final match-ups are now in place after the conclusion of Wednesday evening’s Coppa Italia Round of 16 matches, as Roma have set up a game against Milan in San Siro, while Atalanta will travel to Bologna.
Atalanta were first up on Wednesday night, defeating Serie B outfit Cesena by a 6-1 margin at the Gewiss Stadium. Davide Zappacosta, Charles De Ketelaere, Lazar Samardzic and Marco Brescianini came up with the goals for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

Then came Roma, who recorded a 4-1 win over Sampdoria at the Stadio Olimpico thanks to Artem Dovbyk’s brace and individual efforts from Tommaso Baldanzi and Eldor Shomurodov, plus excellent performances from wing-backs Alexis Saelemaekers and Angelino.

After Wednesday night’s matches, there are no longer any Serie B sides left in the competition.
Sitting in 12th place in Serie A, Roma are currently the lowest-ranked team left in the bracket.
Bologna will host Atalanta in the quarter-final in February.
Milan will host Roma in San Siro.
Juventus will host Empoli following Tuesday night’s 4-0 win over Cagliari.
The only remaining quarter-final will definitely feature Lazio after they beat Napoli 3-1 in their Round of 16 match. They will face the winner of Inter-Udinese, which is due to take place on Thursday night.
