The Frenchman will have one more option to call upon on Tuesday.
Romaine Mundle should make his return to the Sunderland squad on Tuesday night against Coventry City, while the game is likely to come too quickly for Ajibola Alese, according to Regis Le Bris.
Sunderland have suffered their fair share of injury problems this season, to say the least. Right across the pitch, they have had periods when they've had to cobble squads together and still managed to pull out some good results.
They need another strong performance in midweek against Frank Lampard's Sky Blues, who will be gunning to overturn their 2-1 deficit to the Black Cats that they gave up at home. They will need to beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in order to have a chance to stop them getting back to Wembley for the Championship play-off final.
Both sides were well-equipped when they met in the first leg on Friday evening, but Le Bris is set to get Mundle, one of his major attacking threats, back for Tuesday night. Mundle has been out for over a month due to a hamstring injury.
Sunderland probably aren't going to be quite so lucky with Alese, whose return from a broken leg is still awaited. He was initially ruled out until the end of the season, but there is a chance that he could make a comeback for the final, should his side make it.
"We should have Romaine available tomorrow," said Le Bris in his pre-match press conference. "It's probably too soon for Aji."
The manager also commended the travelling supporters for their efforts at the CBS Arena to help his compactly set-up side get a vital victory. It was the first time that Sunderland had won away at Coventry for 40 years.
"We felt their support throughout the game in Coventry. We know it's going to be even better tomorrow night. We need their backing. The atmosphere can make a huge difference."
If Sunderland take a similar tactical approach at home as they did away, which they may or may not do, Mundle's chances of having an impact on this semi-final will greatly increase.
They set up with the idea to catch Coventry on the breaks. They were solid at the back and quick in getting forward. Against tiring legs, Mundle, even if it's just for the final 10 minutes of the 90 - that's if it doesn't go to extra time - will be able to use his speed and agility to get his team up the pitch, whether it'd be to try and score or to try and protect their lead.
