Como reject Tottenham’s offer for Nico Paz | OneFootball

Serie A side Como saw Nico Paz impress last season and now, Tottenham have come forward for the attacking midfielder.

With James Maddison out for months due to an ACL injury, Spurs are trying to sign another midfielder.

Gianluca di Marzio reports that Tottenham tried to offer €40 million for the Argentine player at Como, who rejected the approach.

This is because the Italian side want a fee of €70 million but a fee of €60 million will be needed for Tottenham to start initial negotiations.

Real Madrid still have control over Paz’s future but Como are trying to remove all their clauses. As things stand, Real Madrid can decide to match any fee that Como earn from the sale to sign the player again or if not that, they will stand to earn 50 percent of the fee earned.

This can be a vital aspect for Tottenham, who can now be desperate for a midfield signing.
