Club Brugge chief executive officer Bob Madou has revealed that Ardon Jashari’s move to AC Milan has stalled due to the lack of an adequate offer.

Milan recently submitted an improved bid worth €35 million to the Belgian outfit. The figure is below their valuation, and he looks set to stay with the club.

Club Brugge’s stance will be a huge setback for the Rossoneri, who have identified Jashari as a top target to strengthen their midfield.

The 22-year-old has caught Milan’s attention following his outstanding season with Brugge last term.

He registered four goals and six assists in 52 games and delivered some brilliant performances in the Champions League.

Milan can now focus on other areas on the pitch, having secured enough moves in the transfer window to bolster the midfield.

They have already snapped up Samuele Ricci from Torino for €25 million. The Italian youngster is viewed as a long-term investment for the club.

Luka Modric is edging closer to a move to Milan after playing his final game for Real Madrid in the Club World Cup semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Croatian international will sign a one-year deal with the Rossoneri.

Youssouf Fofana and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will provide depth to Milan’s midfield, but Yunus Musah is expected to leave amid interest from Napoli and West Ham United.
