West Ham look set to sign John Victor in what appears to be a huge last minute new goalkeeper curveball.

The club had been in deeply progressed talks for both Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen (who was the most likely to sign) and Zion Suzuki, however that has now significantly changed.

In what was an 11th hour shift, it was broken by Fabrizio Romano that West Ham had bid for Victor, with it now understood that talks are advanced.

The change in direction has many concerned that this was another David Sullivan interference, with fans wanting to see the club support Graham Potter and Kyle Macaulay.

Although it must be stressed that this is not confirmed, with Potter possibly giving the Victor move the green light, however that clarification is not yet known.

Victor is currently very highly rated in Brazil, with Manchester United said to be keen admirers of the player, so there is hope this will be a very positive signing.

However, until the circumstances of the move are made clear, there is undoubtedly a David Sullivan cloud hanging over the move.
