Chelsea want Andrey Santos to stay this summer despite reports linking him with a move away according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues signed Santos from Brazilian club Vasco da Gama back in January 2023 for a fee worth in the region of £13m.

The 21-year-old spent time on loan at Strasbourg, and made his long awaited debut for Chelsea at the Club World Cup.

Chelsea want to keep Andrey Santos

The youngster is set to have a key role this season, and made his long awaited Premier League debut last weekend against Crystal Palace, although Santos missed a huge chance.

The Brazilian is once again expected to feature on Friday against West Ham, and should get plenty of opportunities to impress this season, despite the fierce competition for places.

West Ham failed with a bid for Santos, and some of Europe’s top club have looked at him, but Romano has now provided an update.

“Chelsea want Andrey Santos to stay, and he’s not going to Man United or anywhere!” he told his YouTube channel.

“Important player for the Chelsea project.”

Maresca has also expressed how he wants the midfielder to stay, and he could be key given Romeo Lavia’s well documented injury issues.

Estevao could make his first start against West Ham

Santos isn’t the only exciting young Brazilian at Chelsea, with 18-year-old Estevao Willian making a good early impression with his performances.

Estevao impressed against both Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan in pre-season, whilst he made an impact on his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace.

Maresca has confirmed Estevao could start for the first time against the Hammers, and it will be interesting to see what team selection the Italian goes with.

If Estevao does start that will likely mean Pedro Neto switching to the left wing, with summer signing Jamie Gittens dropping to the bench.
