Paris Saint-Germain showed interest in Dean Huijsen last summer as part of their defensive overhaul, but the Spanish center-back ultimately joined AFC Bournemouth. If PSG goes after him again, they’ll face stiff competition.

Even after signing Willian Pacho, PSG could still look for another center-back this summer, particularly with Milan Skriniar set to make his loan move to Fenerbahçe permanent.

As reported by CaughtOffside, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG are all monitoring the 19-year-old.

Huijsen has impressed in the Premier League with solid performances, earning praise and attracting the attention of top clubs. If PSG decides to pursue him, they’ll face intense competition, and any club looking to sign him will likely need to meet a significant asking price.

Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for Jules Kounde, with the Barcelona defender seen as an alternative to Huijsen. According to Sport, the Blues have renewed their interest in Kounde, a player they tried to sign in 2022 while he was still at Sevilla.

Back then, the Premier League club was considered the frontrunner, but talks broke down, allowing Barcelona to swoop in and secure Kounde for around €55 million (£46 million).

Now, Chelsea are eager to make another push for the Frenchman, believing his ability to play both center-back and right-back would offer valuable versatility to their squad.

TEAMtalk previously reported, citing sources, that Newcastle have made Huijsen their top target for the summer transfer window, though another club is currently ahead in the race for his signature.

Furthermore, the report mentions that the Magpies have contacted Huijsen’s agents to express interest in signing him. Newcastle view the 19-year-old center-back as a great addition due to his relatively low cost, with a £50 million release clause in his Bournemouth contract.
